Gay and Lesbian Marriage’s divine dilemma?

There is a global push on governments from certain communities for the legalization of gay and lesbian marriages. Their arguments include the concepts of ‘non- discrimination, and equal rights’amongst other things. Whilst on this ‘equal rights’ campaign, some of them want these unions to be recognized as ‘sanctified’, ‘sacred’, and ‘holy’.

The word ‘legal’ pertains to the laws of men and their governments.
The words ‘Holy’ and ‘Sacred’, are words that have an association with, or pertains to God. This holds especially true with the God of the Bible, the God of the Torah, the God of Heaven and earth, who is the creator of heaven and earth.

While gay and lesbian marriages can become ‘legal’, or in other words, accepted by the various governments and written into their laws, it can never be described as ‘sacred’ or ‘holy’, for this concept has nothing to do with the true God; unless they are referring to the pagan gods of no substance. These relationships should have no description association, from man’s point of view, with the one true God; for it is not for man to dictate to the supreme God what he can or cannot do. Just because man embraces something for his gratification or pleasures does not mean that God accepts it. There are many people(s) who have distorted their views of God, or have taken up the distorted views of others about God.

[2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.]

For truly I can say for example- where there are churches that teach that “even if you are a practicing robber, that God loves you because he is a God of love”, then  that false message alone will guarantee that those churches will be packed with practising robbers. That is not the biblical message. The biblical message is that when you have a contrite heart, and repent of your sins and ready to start a new leaf or page in your life, then God will accept and forgive you. There are others, who seem to make light of all this by commiting sin six days a week, and then repenting on the seventh day every week, and so this becomes a weekly cycle for them. They don't seem to see how they are making a mockery of God, because they know in their hearts that the day after they have repented, they will break-in to Mrs. Smith's house down the road.. They can't see how it is to stand in God's shoes and examine themselves.
Scripturally, God has more or less made plain and clear who he is, as well as the ‘holy’ state that any man should be to have an association with him. God laid the ground rules, and man cannot change it to his heart’s desire. There are certain states of existence that God can only be, and certain things he can and cannot do. There are examples- God's glory is light, God is spirit, God is most Holy, God is not evil, and God is the God of truth and cannot lie. Man cannot tell God what to do. For example, man cannot tell God;

1.      To live in darkness,

[1 Timothy 6:15 .......—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
John 3:19
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
1 John 1:5
[ Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness ] This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
Revelation 21:23
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.]

2.      to lie,

[Numbers 23:19
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?]

3.      or to succumb to evil.

James 1:13
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;]

4.      God is Spirit.

[John 4:24
God
is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”]

According to a NZTV1 reporter on 30th August 2012, - ‘Gay couples is now a step closer to being able to be walking down the aisle together’; this maybe true if this be the aisle of men’s courts and men’s churches if legalised, but ; will it be down the aisles of the churches of God’s people? It will always be a divine fact that, no matter whether or not men’s tribunals, councils or governments, can accept the legalization of gay and lesbian marriages, these can never be rightfully called ‘holy’, or ‘sacred’'; ... or can they? One can ask, ‘why not?’. There are no scriptural proof that homosexuals and their sexual practices are pleasing to God, or approved by him.

[ Leviticus 20:13
“‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”]

God’s people are prohibited from associating with those who practice 'detestable' things, and are not to adopt such practices. Disassociation from such people prevents God’s people from being mislead and enticed, and has nothing to do with discrimination, but keeping one’s self in God’s love and discipline.

[Leviticus 18:30
Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the LORD your God.’”
Deuteronomy 7:26
Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction. ]

So in the interests of their equal rights and non-discrimination;  if, how, and when are these communities taking their grieviences and lobby against the most high. After all, any biblical passage thrown at them can be interpreted to mean that God is on their side.

[Numbers 16:
22 But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, “O God, the God who gives breath to all living things, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?”
23 Then the Lord said to Moses, 24 “Say to the assembly, ‘Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.’”
25 Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26 He warned the assembly, “Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.” 27 So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.
28 Then Moses said, “This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: 29 If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead, then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt.”
31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions. 33 They went down alive into the realm of the dead, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. 34 At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, “The earth is going to swallow us too!”
35 And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.]
